The Gold Country Weather site is located on the west slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Alta, California. There are four distinct seasons at this 3700' elevation, with snowy winters, beautiful fall colors, verdant springs and warm summers. January day time high temperatures average 49 degrees and the average low temperatures hover around 34 degrees. July daytime high temperatures peak at 88 degrees and the average low temperature is 58 degrees. The precipitation average for the year in 57 inches and snowfall accumulation of 2 to 4 feet.
